Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cats, and some adults weigh over 10 kg. This page explains how fast they grow, when they stop growing, and what their size means for life in a Singapore flat.
Maine Coons keep growing until about four years old, so a Maine Coon that looks small at one or two years will still fill out. Kittens grow fast in their first year, then more slowly as they reach full size.
Males are usually bigger and heavier than females, and some adults weigh over 10 kg. Females are often a little smaller and finer, but both are large, gentle cats. Size is only one part of choosing between a male and a female.
Yes, with planning. Maine Coons are large but calm indoors. Give them a tall, sturdy cat tree, window perches, a big litter box and daily play. HDB allows up to two cats per flat. For the full picture, see our Maine Coon Singapore guide. See our Maine Coon kittens for sale
