Every pet cat in Singapore now needs a microchip and a licence. This page explains the steps for a new kitten, how many cats you can keep, and what we do for kittens from our cattery. Check the official AVS pages for the latest rules before you apply.
Yes. Since 1 September 2026 it is an offence to keep an unlicensed pet cat in Singapore. This applies to pet cats in HDB flats and in private homes.
A cat must be microchipped before a licence can be issued. First-time applicants also complete a short free online pet ownership course. Every kitten from our cattery leaves microchipped, so you can apply for the licence once your kitten is home.
HDB flats allow up to two cats per flat. Private homes have their own limit. Keeping more than the limit can bring a fine, so check the official AVS ownership limits page and the HDB keeping pets page before you get another cat.
Every kitten comes vaccinated and microchipped, with pedigree papers, a health check, a health guarantee and a feeding guide, and we support you after you take your kitten home. Questions? WhatsApp us on +65 8780 1461. Back to our Maine Coon Singapore guide or see our Maine Coon kittens for sale.
